2017

Oh hey there! Happy 2017!
One and a half months in and a lot has happened! Before I get to 2017, here is the ending to my 2016.

  • I finished my first semester of grad school!! WHOOOO.
  • I had a bomb Christmas party at my apartment and we ate a ton of food and played games and it was so much fun!
  • I spent my very first Christmas away from home.............but
  • .....I spent a few days with Aubrey and her dad, Vince, and they made Christmas so very special for me. I will never forget the days I spent in Macon, Missouri. I feel so incredibly grateful for Aubrey as my friend and insanely blessed that Vince took me in and helped make my Christmas so memorable. THREE CHEERS FOR THE WINN FAMILY
  • I survived my first convention on staff at Alpha Phi Omega. I had a great week in Pittsburgh running around with everyone.
  • I ate taco bell for my last meal of 2016!

OKAY ON TO 2017!

  •  I rang in the new year with new friends and a super cool glow stick. 10/10 would recommend celebrating with glow sticks at all times. Pizza was my first meal of 2017. #personalbrand
  • Trump was elected POTUS. This is the first year I've been emotionally and intellectually invested in an election, so I watched the inauguration for the first time.
  •  My cousin Justin moved in with me. He drove here from Idaho got a job at a car dealership that starts in March and is working at Taco Bell in the mean time. Having a roommate is SUPER weird. After being alone in my apartment for 7 months, it has been QUITE the adjustment to having someone always there. Other than the constant human contact, having a roommate is nice. Justin likes to cook and makes me lunch for work and is always down to do whatever.
  •  I started my second semester of grad school. I was quite overwhelmed going into the semester but I found my groove and I am doing alright. I complain a lot more than necessary. MY B.
  • I booked a flight to San Diego to visit my true homie, Jessi. Ryann is coming with, I AM VERY EXCITED.
  •  I volunteered at an ASA event that was held in Kansas City and was once again reminded how much I love my sorority.
  • Work is great. It feels wonderful to work for people that care about you and want to help you grow and succeed. (Also, Thursday is Dr. Pepper day and it is my favorite day of the week)
  • My team has been excelling at trivia, and although we still have not gotten first place, we are continuing to have a blast every Tuesday night.
  • I had a Superbowl party and we all were sad because the Patriots beat the Falcons BUT I won $30.00 sooo I wasn't too sad.

That is a pretty basic recap of how 2017 is going so far. I am excited for what the rest of the year has to bring.
