October 3

Sup y'all,
Here is a recap of September!

Labor day was super fun! I went to the Lake of the Ozarks with Miranda and a few of her friends. It was such a lovely weekend away from home. I floated a lot and even snagged a pair of $5.00 sandals!!

Recently, I returned home from a week long work trip. I traveled to Rochester, New York for an observation visit for Rebecca, then went to South Carolina to visit JC for his observation visit. It was a long week away from home, but it was pretty fun!

I flew to Rochester on a Wednesday, Rebecca picked me up and our first order of business was heading to Tim Hortons for some breakfast. (breakfast for me, lunch for Rebecca, I'd been up since 3:30 am. #blessed) I had heard about Tim Hortons and was looking forward to trying it. It was average...but I was later informed I ordered the wrong thing. Perhaps I will try it again. We then headed to CANADA! To see Niagara Falls!!!! It was an amazing day! We found a place to park, then walked down to and took a thousand pictures of the falls. We saw the Canada 150 sign and celebrated Canada for a few seconds, then walked back and got on the boat that takes you near the falls. They give you a poncho, which helps...a little..but you still get SUPER SUPER soaked. It was worth it though. We had a great time and it we were able to take a lot of really great photos.

The rest of the week was spent observing Rebecca at her chapter visit at Rochester Institute of Technology. I visited that school when I was a consultant so it was pretty cool to get to go back. The best part was that the weather was super nice, in contrast to the last time I was there, when it was SNOWING IN APRIL.

I then flew to Kansas City, got off my plane, ate some food, got on another plane and flew to South Carolina. The next few days I spent with JC at Woffard College. A very small school, but very beautiful. The students were great and I had some of the best Brussel sprouts ever for lunch one day.

The rest of September was filled with getting back on track with work and class after being gone for the week. I walked in a one mile race for the elephants will some people from my cohort one day. It was a beautiful and HOT day in Missouri. I also visited a cider mill where I had the best apple cider of my life!

October is here, and it is already super busy. This week I drive to Nashville to hang out with my LC friends!! I am excited.

Ciao for now!
xoxo
