Long post about weekend..sorry!

Hola todos!
Happy June! I can't believe it is June! I swear it was January 1st five minutes ago! But here we are half way through 2014! Have you followed any of your resolutions? I certainly have. One of mine was "become Spanish," and I have been working hard on it all year. I think by moving to Spain and buying a Spanish coat I'm doing pretty well!
Well, it is June and four of my favorite people are born in this month so a big shout out to Tara, Ryann, Brady and Justin. I am 99% sure the latter two will never read this but oh well happy almost birthday anyways! I love birthdays and am sad to be missing them all this summer! Don't worry we can make it up in August!

So since Thursday I've had a pretty great last few days. After I blogged I walked into this shop and found a beautiful Spanish jacket. When I say it is a Spanish coat it is because they all have long coats here for the rain and they are awesome and now I have a beautiful blue one and I love it! Anyways, I walked around more, found the post office. Walked around the city and found my way back without my map! It was awesome! Then I went home and got the kiddos. Finally that evening Matias came home from the hospital. His break was really bad. He had to get surgery and they put something metal in there and he has a six month total recovery!!! So sad! I think in six weeks he gets a cast where at least he can move his elbow and not have a sling. A case of bad luck at the play ground.

Friday he didn't go to school so we played together and napped together and read books and all sorts of things until the boys came home. Normal night, we had pizza for dinner so I was happy! Then played and did English homework and watched English cartoons then I read and went to bed after carrying the kiddos to their beds. I have been having trouble sleeping at night. It's annoying. Oh well! This happened last time too!

Saturday we went to the communion of one of their friends. It was super fun! It was first at a church but there was a lot of people in front of me so I didn't really see anything. After that we went to a castle house and spent the entire day! It was so beautiful. The castle part itself was cool and then there was a huge garden with badminton, a jump house and a mechanical bull for the kids!! So cool! There was a big garden area and then another area where there was a bar and seating for eating. The first two hours we just ate snacks and drank and talked. Then the kids had lunch. They got mini hamburgers and pizza and all this great stuff I was jealous! Then after they had that and ice cream brought to them on platters they went back to play and we ate. There was a huge buffet with different types of meat, some pasta and veggies and salad. I had sooooo many vegetables it was delicious I was so happy. And full. Then for dessert I had these weird chocolate cookie pudding tower things and then some fruit! It was so yummy as well. Then more drinking and talking. I talked to a lot of their friends who are all really nice. The kids had snack "merienda" at 6 and they had little filled sandwiches, grilled cheese with ham, yogurt and fruit! So yummy as well. Then the fĂștbol game was on. It was a big deal because if the Galician team won this game then we could advance to the upper division and play with teams like Barcelona and Madrid! We won! So many cheers!! It was so fun and exciting! Forza Depor! We stayed there until a little after nine then went to McDonalds for dinner (not that I could eat anymore at this point) and straight to bed! The event was super fancy and apparently not normal for a communion. It was more like a wedding. Which was fine by me! It was really cool to see!

Sunday we visited Santiago which is a bigger city about 45 minutes away. It was beautiful. The cathedral was amazing as was the old part of the town. The architecture in Europe never ceases to awe and amaze me. I love seeing the different cathedrals. We even accidentally crashed mass. It was a beautiful day! No clouds to hide the sun and the wind was not so bad.
We had lunch with Manu's parents who live there. It was delicious. The croquetas here are so yummy.
There was a carnival there in town and it was fun for everyone. There was lots of treats and rides and games. It was a nice day out with the family.
When we got home it was only 7 so we went for a walk and visited a park with a really old abandoned house. The park was closed so we hopped a fence off of a bridge and went in. When we left we realized if we had turned right instead of left we would have been able to walk up without the hopping if the fence. Oh well! The boys all have long boards and they like to ride then. Matias has to have help because he only has his one arm, but the other two likes to be pulled sometimes as well. Lucas crashed and scraped up his leg and face but otherwise is fine. It was a nice warm evening if you stayed out of the shadows!
This Monday morning marks their change if schedule. Now they go to school from 8:30 to 2:00! So I have less time to explore during the day but I will just have to have good time management. No more naps:( Manu drove me downtown on his way to work again. This time I got to see were he parks. Underneath the city is just this huge underground parking lot and he has a reserved spot he always parks in. I've seen underground parking a lot in Europe but this was the biggest I've ever seen. It was awesome and scary. I don't like underground that much. I'm going to find the store "El Corte Inglés" which is a huge, huge store here to look around and after, I'm going to try to find a straightener!

Some notes:
The parents and all their friends call the boys "Los termitas," the termites because they destroy everything. It's quite funny. They will ask where are the termites instead of where are the boys or something similar.
The children here will pee anywhere as long as there are not police. And it's totally cool. It's interesting and quite gross.

Until the next wifi adventure
Un beso
Taryn
