Hola hola!!
Let me tell you about my weekend! Friday night Sora left for the weekend and the parents went out so it was just the boys and me. When bed time came along they were scared so they asked to sleep with me. If you remember, I sleep on a very awkwardly lumpy futon. We slept across it so we could all four fit and my feet hung off the edge. They finally fell asleep after midnight sometime and then I was sweating so I realized I couldn't sleep in the middle so I moved to the boys bedroom and fell asleep sometime after 2:30. Their house is always pretty warm because they don't use ac and I can't always have the windows open because I keep getting bug bites all over my body.) The parents a long with their uncle from out of town came home at 7:00 in the morning. That's when the boys decided it would be a good time to wake up. For the first hour they were just running around yelling and trying to wake up their uncle until he threw Nico and Lucas in the shower and sprayed their pajamas. I finally got them to go downstairs and we ate breakfast and watched tv and I tried to sleep. We had a communion for their cousins, Nicoprimo and Blanca. It was at the same church as the first one we went to and when we got there a wedding was ending. It was exciting to see even in the rain. After the actual communion we went to a hotel called "Pazo de Rio." It is a beautiful place with a huge resplendent garden that we didn't get to fully enjoy because of the rain but it was awesome to see anyways. The lunch was really good but a bummer for me because it was mostly seafood until the final course they brought me meat. After lunch it had stopped raining so we sat on the patio and talked. I was by myself like usual until these older woman called me over. It was the mom of the boy aunt and her sister. They talked to me for a couple hours and it was really fun to speak in Spanish for once. All the grandparents said how beautiful I was and how nice of a smile I had so it was a really nice chat. The aunt also kept telling me to find a Spanish man and couldn't believe I didn't have one already. It was hilarious. When she left it was sad because we stayed for another three hours and I was alone again. It is hard for me because I don't fit in with the kids or the parents. I can speak Spanish with then and understand basically everything we just don't have much in common to talk about/ I never have anything to add to their conversations. It is annoying but it isn't anyone's fault.
Sunday we went to La Coruña and saw and air show. A bunch of planes and even some helicopters flew through the air and did tricks and made formations etc. It was really fun to watch but it was really long and it started late (typical Spanish.) We met some friends for lunch in a terrace on the water and spent a few hours there. It was sunny, warm and enjoyable. After the family went to a friends house and I went home and found my hostel for when I go to San Sebastián in August! Then I went on a wonderful run and came home and watched X-Men on my iPad. During my run I was running along the beach and there was a guy in a horse. I was running past them and the horse started to run instead of walk and we were racing for a while until the owner stopped the horse. It was hilarious, we were both laughing and I snapped some pictures while we were racing.
Monday was a normal day. The boys don't have camp anymore so it's us together all day. They older ones had tennis class in the afternoon before lunch. After lunch we had English class and then Moni was home. We tried to go to the pool but it was closed so we went to her friends house. She has a pool inside that is heated and it look like it's really cloudy but it's just the walls. It is really fancy, as was her entire huge house. I wish I had my phone with me because this house was crazy awesome. We spent a few hours there and then came home. I got to FaceTime with Christina and Jessi which made my whole day and then watched Stat Wars III and tried to sleep.
I have exactly three weeks until I'll be home so see you soon!
Ciao!
