Thursday we had a short English class and they kiddos went to the dentist as then we were off to San Vicente and obviously straight to the beach. Then home and are tortilla. The cousins arrived and they all went to dinner and I watched the boys and Blanca and Nico. Nico was at a friends house for the night.
Friday was one of the best days I've had this summer with the family. We all woke up leisurely, went to a place next to Dora for a croissant and then off to the beach. It was warm and we got a lot of sun. We went to Dora for lunch and the chicken was good and the icecream was as well. Then we went to the other beach and I swam in the ocean. I went all the way in twice and while it felt nice it chilled me to the bone and made it hard to breathe. I was happy I finally made it into the ocean all the way. Moni was too. Then there was to be a soccer game with the boys from our beach vs the boys from a different beach. Our team painted their numbers on their backs and the other team had shirts. They were actually on a team together so they were used to playing with each other. Our boys played hard but ended up losing and there were lots of tears at the end because they wanted to keep playing even though thy had played for over an hour and a half! It was fun to watch. There was this teenage girl watching and she must have been family of a boy on the other team and she kept Yelling this cheer that said "que guapo eres, que culo tienes" which means how handsome you are, what a butt you have. It was funny the first two times but she kept yelling it and it was super annoying. One kick went out of bounds and got her and she shrieked and one of the dads on our team walked next to her and yelled in a sarcastic sing along voice "que guapo eres, que culo tienes" and I laughed sooo hard. Then later using the work culo so many times the youngest one on the team Yago started mooning everyone which was in itself hilarious but then when one of the other players was turned around he would pull down his pants and put his butt on the kid until he turned around in shock. It got us a goal so that rocked and I was dying of laughter. It was definitely the hardest I've laughed all summer. We went home and had pizza for dinner and I hung out with the kiddos again.
The mom of the cousins Nico and Blanco is named Kris. Kris is friends with all of Moni's friends and they all miss her a lot. When they reunite it is so nice to watch because you can tell what good friends they are and how glad they are to see each other. It makes me so excited to go home and see my friends!
Saturday we again woke up whenever and I had a little English class with each of the boys then we went to the beach and Dora for lunch again. We got re ready and went to a baptism but we didn't make it to the church part so we just went to the party. It was the real deal. There was candy and sweets for the kids everywhere and it was displayed so cute and fun! There was a bunch of food for the adults and an open bar of course. There was kids entertainment which was a weird magician guy but the kiddos enjoyed it. We stayed for forever like every party we go to. Then we went home and To bed.
Sunday was the weekend day with the family. We headed to a music festival on an island. We drove for two hours because we got lost. This was quite funny because I had never seen Moni so upset about something and listening to Spanish people argue is funny. We finally arrive but had missed the boat so we ended up taking a really small maintenance boat across the water to the music festival on the island San Simone. Once there it was a lot of fun. We listened to a lot of great bands, caught some sun, ( I even took a little ciesta,) and ate some yummy food. The island was small but beautiful and lucky us the festival wasn't as fun on Sunday as it was Friday and Saturday. There was kayaking for the kids and different food vendors and outdoor bars. It was off and on warm depending on if you were standing in the shade and if it was windy. We did a lot of sun searching throughout the day. It was a fun day!
The weekend was great but it was sad to say goodbye to some of their friends I have spent time with as well as their cousins. It hasn't really hit me that I only have five days left with the family!
This week will be full of English since we will be parting ways on Friday afternoon!!!
Until next time,
Un beso!
