Pueblo

Hello all! It has been a while since I last blogged. I guess I have been pretty busy lately! JK I am always busy but I haven't made blogging a top priority!

My last week in Grand Junction was awesome. I had a great and busy week preparing each officer for their new position after elections. I worked with the executive board and hosted a "mini officer retreat" and they are going to kill it as officers. I am so proud of how far this chapter has come in just the three weeks I have been with them. We had a super fun bid day on Friday night and welcomed 37 new members! So awesome! Many photos were taken and a few games of kickball!

On Saturday, Kindred took me hiking on the Colorado National Monument! I had been looking forward to going on a hike since I first got my schedule so I was really excited! It was really warm and sunny outside but not too hot and the hike we did wasn't super hard either so it was super nice! The view was incredible and it was really good to get outside and do something physical. After the hike I spent the day doing laundry, packing up and watching or re-watching Gossip Girl. The women I stayed with all were gone for the weekend until Saturday evening when Sierra came home. We went to dinner and got icecream and spent the evening together watching gossip girl. I ended up not going to the football game but we drove by it and it looked like fun!

Kaitlin, Sierra and Meghan were wonderful hosts and I had a great time staying at their house with them! I already miss them and all the women of Theta Psi and am looking forward to going back in October!

Sunday morning we woke up early and I headed to Pueblo! The flight I booked took me to Phoenix then to Denver so I had a long day of airport fun before finally landing back in Colorado. Two members of Zeta Pi, Jenn and Angie, picked me up and we drove to Pueblo. It was about two hours total to get from Denver to Pueblo so we had lots of time to chat about ourselves and make introductions. We passed through Colorado Springs, where I WAS BORN, but have never been back to. I was really excited and I sent a picture of the highway sign to Fort Carson to my parents. It was really cool! Colorado Springs looks like a poppin' place to live and I am looking into grad school there!

Pueblo....I don't really know what to say about it. The campus and the city hasn't really stolen my heart yet but the women of Zeta Pi are super nice! They set up a whole loft area for me in one of their dorm/apartments so that has been super nice. The wifi on campus is HORRIBLE so I can never get any work done or do anything fun like watch netflix before bed...Today I had someone take me to Starbucks so I could get some work done! It was much needed! I will probably come back tomorrow! Also, there are apparently lots of tarantulas in this city/on the campus and I am terrified every time I step outside. I haven't seen one yet but you better believe everyone will know when I do.

The past week I have been very emotional, lots of weird random feelings popping out of no where making me sad/nostalgic/happy/cry baby ish. I don't know what that is about but it has been very overwhelming. I used to cry all the time about stupid random things but I stopped for a while and now it is coming back and I was not prepared for it! To put it into context for you, I watched the finale song from the movie "Pitch Perfect" and started to cry. STUPID!!

Anyways, I am looking forward to finishing the week here and heading to Theta Pi in Utah!

Today also marks one month until I am home in Boise, Idaho! I am so excited to be back in good ole B-town with all my loved ones for a week!

ALSO-today is NATIONAL #aubreyappreciationday so if you know Aubrey Winn don't forget to give her a big shout out!!

Enjoy a zillion pics below!
Ciao ciao for now!
xoxo
