November dayz

HII ALL,

Happy November!
It finally got cold here in Missouri. Last Thursday it was 79 degrees and then BAM, Friday was 58 and it has gotten colder ever since. I cannot leave my apartment without my gloves and I have to wear sweats and a sweatshirt to the gym. I can't believe I was whining about the heat.......ugh

November has been pretty chill. I've been finishing up classes. I have a paper to write and two videos to finish up by December 5th. Then I officially will be finished with my first semester of grad school! Time flies when you are having fun! Speaking of fun, I celebrated my 6 month anniversary of working at APO by looking at the calendar and smiling. LOL but seriously I can't believe I've been in Missouri for 6 months already!! The time is flying! Which is fun but also insane!! The consultants were back for a week or two and are gone again for Thanksgiving break. They will be back next week and we will be non stop getting ready for convention during the weeks leading up to Christmas!

I have been going to Trivia each week with my friends Katelyn and Doug, sometimes joined by the consultants and my friend Miranda from work. We have still yet to win, but we are slowly learning more and more random facts and enjoying our Tuesday nights together.

Halloween was fun. Katelyn, Doug and I went on a bar crawl. It was pretty cool. My alien costume was silly but still does not compare to my grape costume of 2015.

I worked the polls on election day. I was very excited to see the first time voters and be part of such an exciting time in our history. It was a LONG day. I was completely dead and seeing the results and aftermath of the election left me dreary for the next week or so. Not necessarily because of the outcome of the election as much as because of the attitude and climate of the country after the election. If that makes sense.

Tomorrow Tara, Kyle and Matteo are coming to visit me and celebrate Tarynsgiving. (I apologize for being so narcissistic.) I am VERY excited to show more friends my home here in Kansas City. I am going to cook my own turkey for the first time which has me very anxious. Kyle doesn't know this yet, but he is going to have to pull all the inside crap out because I am tapping out of that task....

I am slowly but surely adding things to my apartment to make it feel like a home. My new office is also becoming somewhat personalized, which is fun.

I am very excited for this weekend with friends and finishing up the semester!!
I try to be thankful all the time, but especially this week I am thinking about how grateful I am for my friends, my family, my job, my church here in MO, my classmates and for netflix/hulu. LOVE YA ALLLLLLLLLL.

Ciao ciao for now
xoxo
