SUH DUDES,
I've gotten a lot of views on my blog lately from all over, I do not know if my friends all moved or if there are new random people that are reading...but I thought I would reintroduce why this blog exists. (if you are an avid reader, go ahead and skip this!)
I've always been obsessed with myself (jk kinda, lol) and have always wanted everyone to know about my life so when I was in college I started a pathetic blog that literally only my bff Tara read...then when we went to Spain for our study abroad semester, we started a blog so our families and friends could keep up with our adventures. I started another one when I was in Spain as an aupair and that one got a lot of traction, so as I continued on with traveling as a leadership consultant and moving to Missouri I kept it up. It is called the blonde girl in rain boots because when I was an aupair it seemed like I was the only one who was blonde and the only one wearing rain boots everyday. The beautiful, dark haired, Spaniards were not afraid of the rain and did not feel the need to wear rain boots every single day. Currently my blog is filled with posts updating my family and far away friends of what I do here in Missouri and serves as a good way for me to look back on memories and photos from the years. SOO welcome!
To the regulars, how is your 2018 going???
Mine has been truly delightful. It began a little rocky, as I had just returned to KC from Boise and it took me a while to remember why I lived in KC and not beautiful Boise, Idaho. In case you were wondering, here are some reasons:
BUT....then Chelsea and I redid the apartment and cleaned and it has been great to have her as my roommate!
We had a couchwarming/welcome Chelsea party last week, which was fun. I cannot even put into words how special it is to me that none of my friends denied me my couchwarming party. Basically all of my friends here showed up, they all admired the couch, and it was a jolly good time. There was only one person who said "oh that is a real thing??" when I mentioned I was throwing a party for a couch....Ashlee...if you are reading this...HI, lol. CHEERS TO CALVIN CARLYLE COUCH !
School started back up, which has continually been my pit of the week, not that I don't enjoy it, I just always get really dramatic at the beginning until I get into the groove of things. It has been really nice to carpool to class with Chelsea now. Sometimes when it is my turn to drive she sleeps...but it is okay because I host my own concert to the Greatest Showman Soundtrack. (GO SEE THAT MOVIE IF YOU HAVEN'T ALREADY!!)
This week started off with a Monday that truly was sent to me by Satan himself. I do not know why it was such a bad day, but it was honestly just so horrible and I am sorry to anyone who came into contact with me on that day. Good news is today is a beautiful Friday and I am in the greatest mood and I am looking forward to the weekend! I do not have any plans, which is weird for me, but I am looking forward to a chill weekend, hopefully full of couch time and a new movie!
I hope everyone has a great day/week/month/start of 2018!!
Ciao ciao for now!
xoxo

- Grad school
- Friend group (s)
- Yummy food
- Tuesday Trivia
